Trading stocks on crypto exchanges, explained.

A plain-English directory and explainer hub for trading stocks on crypto exchanges. We tell you exactly what you own on each platform — a real share, a tokenized stock, a CFD, or a tokenized real-world asset. No hype — just a clear answer to the one question that matters before you deposit: when you “buy a stock” here, what do you actually own?

Five ways to “own” a stock on a crypto platform

They are not the same. Each carries different rights, risks and tax treatment.

Real share

You own the actual underlying equity (or a regulated fractional interest in it), typically with shareholder rights.

Tokenized stock

A blockchain token that represents a share held by a custodian. You own the token/certificate, not the share directly.

RWA

A tokenized real-world asset issued by a regulated entity, redeemable for value backed by the underlying security.

CFD

A contract for difference — a leveraged bet on the price. You own no share and have no shareholder rights.

Perp

A perpetual future tracking the stock's price. A derivative with no expiry, funding fees and leverage — not ownership.
