What is available in India, which product types are permitted, and what you actually own.

India has no specific framework legitimising tokenized stocks or stock CFDs, and crypto-linked products sit in a grey, heavily taxed area. Some global platforms accept Indian users for crypto, but equity-token and CFD access is inconsistent and may not be permitted. Domestic equity investing is best done through SEBI-regulated brokers.

If you explore tokenized stocks from abroad, treat regulatory protection as minimal, factor in India's crypto tax treatment, and confirm that the specific product is offered to users in India before depositing.

Binance bStocksBinance bStocks (launched June 2026) are tokenized stock certificates issued as BEP-20 tokens, backed 1:1 and regulated under ADGM. Legally they are not shares and give no direct share ownership; corporate actions are reflected in the token.
